Dra. Nathaly Lopes Archilha

Laboratório Nacional de Luz Síncroton (CNPEM)

Abstract:

Date: October 1, 2021 – (friday) – Time: 10:15 a.m.

(Português) Destaque na XV Hadron Physics

23/09/2021 19:09

Sorry, this entry is only available in Brazilian Portuguese. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

Cheryl Henkels de Souza — “Momentum transfer squared dependence of exclusive quarkonia photoproduction in UPCs”

Haimon Otto Melchiors Trebien — “Exclusive photoproduction of quarkonia in ultraperipheral collisions”

Mateus Pelicer — “Fluctuations in the nuclear pasta phase”

Parabenizamo-nos pelo ótimo trabalho.

THE PHYSICS GRADUATE PROGRAM invites everyone to the seminar:

High-energy QCD dynamics with sub-eikonal corrections

Giovanni Antonio Chirilli

University Of Regensburg

Abstract:

At very high energies, when parton density in hadronic target becomes very high, the cross section reaches the unitarity (saturation) limit. At this regime the QCD dynamics is described by the non-linear BK and JIMWLK evolution equations within the eikonal approximation and infinite Wilson-line operators. These equations are currently the starting point of discussion for future experiments like the Electron Ion Collider (EIC) or the Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) and play an important role in current RHIC and LHC experiments involving nucleus-nucleus and proton-nucleus collisions. However, many interesting aspects of hadron dynamics are not accessible within the eikonal approximation, the spin physics being an obvious example. The higher precision reached by the experiments and the possibility to probe spin dynamics at future Electron Ion Colliders make the study of deviations from eikonal approximation especially timely. I will review the high-energy Operator Product Expansion and Wilson line formalism as well as the derivation of the non-linear evolution equations up to next-to-eikonal accuracy.
