Paulo Henrique Souto Ribeiro
Electrical Engineer, graduate from Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG, 1988) and Ph.D. in physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG, 1995). He is currently a full professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). His main research topics are in the field of Quantum and Classical Optics, working with entangled states of photons produced in the process of spontaneous parametric down-conversion. This system is used to study the foundations of Quantum Mechanics and applications to Quantum Information and Quantum Thermodynamics.
