Postdoctoral National Program (PNPD/CAPES)
The National Post-Doctorate Program (PNPD/CAPES) of CAPES – Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel – is a research grant program that awards funds to post-doctoral research projects in academic stricto sensu graduate programs (PPG) recommended by CAPES.
There are 3 types of fellowships awarded by PNPD/CAPES, described in further detail in the regulation of the program. Although the fellowship students enrolled in Type C may interrupt regular employment and resume it after concluding the activities of the Program, no fellow researcher receiving funds from PNPD/CAPES can develop professional activities concomitant to their research activities, under penalty of being obliged to repay CAPES the amounts received plus fine and interest. Recommended that the candidates should carefully read the regulation in order familiarize with the details of each type of fellowship.
