Bruno Gouvêa Taketani

He is a Professor in the Department of Physics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Florianópolis). Graduated in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2003), Master’s in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2006), and Ph.D. in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2011). Since the beginning of his doctorate he has been dedicated to several aspects of quantum information, with a special focus on the theoretical conception of experimental implementations. His doctorate was focused on the study of quantum information protocols. In 2011, he started a post-doctorate in the group of Prof. Giovanna Morigi, at the Universität des Saarlandes, Germany, whose focus was on describing ion dynamics in open systems. In 2013 he joined Prof. Frank K. Wilhelm, at the same university, where he started to research in the field of quantum circuit electrodynamics.
