Science outreach
Science outreach of the Graduate Program in Physics at UFSC, through videos by masters and doctoral students, post-docs and professors on their research activities.
Our goal is to inform the academic community and especially the general public on the diversity of research projects carried out by our staff and students. This demonstrates the scientific relevance of the Graduate Program, especially as regards the training of qualified human resources for the job market, whether in the academy or in the industry. Moreover, this contributes to the dissemination of UFSC’s scientific activities.
It is important to emphasize that Brazilian research takes place mainly in public universities and research institutions, where post-docs, graduate and undergraduate students are the drivers. Therefore, public resources spent on public universities and on graduate programs (through scholarships and research funding) need to be considered as an investment, because technological development in Brazil depends on this.
