Lucas Nicolao

Lucas NicolaoProfessor Lucas Nicolao is an Associate Professor at the Physics Department of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) since 2014. He has experience in the areas of Statistical Physics and Condensed Matter Physics, in particular simulations of complex systems, out-of-equilibrium dynamics, and phase transitions. He is Master’s and Ph.D. advisor of the Graduate Program in Physics at UFSC. He has a BSc in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, 2003), a Master’s (2005) and Ph.D. (2009) in Physics at UFRGS; He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Complex Systems Group at Universitá di Roma “La Sapienza” (2010) and a postdoctoral fellow at the Physics Institute of UFRGS (2012).
