Roberto Kalbusch Saito

Graduated in Physics Bachelor’s degree from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2002), master’s degree in Physics (with an area of ​​concentration in Astrophysics) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2004) and a doctorate in Physics (with an area of ​​concentration in Astrophysics) also from the University Federal of Santa Catarina (2008). Between April 2008 and March 2009 he received a DTI scholarship at the National Astrophysics Laboratory (LNA), in Itajubá-MG, working on the Brazilian Virtual Observatory (BraVO) project. In April 2009, he moved to Santiago-Chile to join the scientific team of the VISTA Variables in the Vía Láctea (VVV) project. For the first three years he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In March 2012, he joined the Universidad de Valparaíso and The Milky Way Millennium Nucleus. He returned to Brazil in April 2013 and until August 2016 he was an Adjunct Professor in the Physics Department at Federal University of Sergipe. Since August 2016 he has been an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis.
