Marco Aurelio Cattacin Kneipp
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1987), a master’s degree in Physics by the Brazilian Center for Research in Physics (1989), and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Wales, Swansea (1995). Pursued his post-doctorate at CBPF and UERJ. Regular Associated Member of the International Center for Ctp Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy from 2003 to 2010. Associate Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Has experience in the area of Physics, with an emphasis in the physics of elementary particles and fields, working mainly on the following topics: topological defects, gauge theories, confinement, dualities, and supersymmetry.
